Eric Andrew Sim Design & Marketing

It was over ten years ago that I started my career in graphic design and marketing. After teaching myself the foundations of the industry standard design programs, I spent several years designing web sites and corporate identities on a freelance basis. Wanting to expand my qualifications, I enrolled at the Art Institute of Charlotte, earning an AAS in Graphic Design and the title of "Best Graphic Design Graduate" of 2002. Using the momentum of that success, I applied my graphic education and personal marketing skills at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte where I received a BSBA in marketing, graduating magna cum laude with honors. The Business Honors Program requires taking several higher level, discussion-based business courses and completing a thesis during senior year under the direct tutelage of an honors professor.

The Working Designer

Not wanting to be limited to graphic design, I have taken on jobs that require all facets of my talents, both in marketing and design. Currently working at Meyercord Tax Stamping Equipment, an ITW company, I have designed the web site, corporate identification, product literature, advertisements, newsletters, and mass mailers to name just a few. I've also spearheaded several of the mass mailings, new product promotions, and managed the several convention appearances that occur during the year.
